Today’s Ikebana lesson was gift from husband to his wife (her occupation is a flower designer).
Work of Kawazu zakura (cherry blossoms blooming this time of the season). Early spring has come.

I could see her love and compassion towards flower by watching how she handled flowers, especially, Keiozakura (very fragile petals).

【日本語版は英語版のあとです】 I did Ikebana performance in front of 20 guests from the U.S.A. Ikebana has influenced by Shinto and Buddhism. The guests had lecture about history of Ikebana at Shitaya Shinto shrine and walked in old downtown to visit Katsushika Hokusai’s grave and Buddhist alter shopping street.
